Born in Guadalajara, Rafael (or “Rafa”) received his bachelor’s degree in biology and has down extensive work on different projects involving marine and terrestrial species. Guests appreciate his quiet, joyful nature and benefit from his knowledge of a wide variety of local flora and fauna. In his spare time he enjoys climbing, surfing, snorkeling, camping and cycling, but fishing might be abiding passion. A keen traveller, Rafa loves to discover new people and places.

"We went on the Islands of Loreto Bay tour with Rafa, Tico, Pirro, and Nathan. It was one of the most amazing experiences of our lives! We saw a ton of wildlife, including humpback whales jumping and feeding, dolphins swimming within 5 feet of shore and passing by us underwater, sea turtles, rays leaping out of the water. The guides were amazing: knowledgeable, fun, flexible, helpful, and amazing cooks. The sea kayaking was beautiful, the snorkeling great. Highly recommend this company, this tour, and these guides."
