Klarissa Terán
Whale Watching & Sea Kayaking Guide
Klarissa was born in Austria and has called La Paz home since she was three years old. Baja California Sur is where she feels most comfortable and connected, and she loves sharing the place she grew up with guests. From the Sea of Cortez to the mountains, beaches, and desert, Klarissa believes Baja truly has it all and is proud of the strong, community-oriented culture that makes it so special.
She studied environmental sciences and has been guiding since 2020, starting as a snorkeling guide in Cabo Pulmo before joining Sea Kayak Adventures for the 2021–22 season. This is her fifth season with SKA. Klarissa enjoys helping guests connect with nature, conservation, and the local perspective that comes with growing up in the region.
Klarissa speaks German, English, and Spanish fluently. When she’s not guiding, she loves traveling, kayaking, hiking, and spending time with friends. During one off-season, she and a fellow SKA guide even completed a 17-day course and became certified Class II river guides, simply for the love of adventure!
